Some users trying to use Smart Connect from Teams to log into their Cloud instance encounter an endless authentication loop with the Jira system. After login, the dialog closes and returns to the “Sign in” screen in Smart Connect.
This occurs if an instance migrated from Data Center to Cloud while the user remains authenticated. When logging in again, the backend reroutes requests to the DC instance but performs the Cloud auth flow. The user logs into Cloud but faces a loop due to caching lasting at least 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, the user should log in successfully.
