Atlassian Forge Transition: a statement

Atlassian is transitioning its cloud app ecosystem from Connect to Forge, its next-generation development platform for Marketplace apps.

As Connect is scheduled to be phased out by the end of 2026, Marketplace partners such as yasoon are currently migrating their apps to ensure long-term compatibility and support within the Atlassian ecosystem.

Change brings challenges, so we aim to be transparent about what’s coming. Our priority is to make this transition as seamless as possible for our customers while maintaining the reliability and functionality you expect from yasoon apps.

Why is yasoon making this move?

As Atlassian is gradually phasing out Connect in favor of Forge, yasoon is required to migrate its Marketplace apps, to ensure continued compatibility, support, and availability within Atlassian Cloud.

This transition allows us to keep our products aligned with Atlassian’s long-term platform strategy and avoid any disruption, once Connect is fully retired.

👤 Benefits for you as a customer

  • Better alignment with Atlassian Cloud innovations

  • Long-term support and future-proofing

  • Access to new platform features as they become available

👀 What we’re keeping an eye on

Platform migrations are complex, and some areas may require adjustments as Atlassian continues to evolve Forge. This can occasionally influence development priorities or the timing of new features.

  • Migrating to Forge requires significant development effort to ensure long-term compatibility with Atlassian Cloud.

  • Some features may need to be redesigned, as not all Connect capabilities are currently available in Forge.

  • The timing of certain improvements or new features may depend on Atlassian's ongoing Forge development.

  • We are working closely with Atlassian to minimize impact and maintain the functionality our customers rely on.

Do I need to do anything?

The migration from Connect to Forge is handled fully on our side and does not require any changes to your setup. Our goal is to ensure a smooth, stable experience with a gradual transition in the background.

However, you might face short-term issues as we adapt to this new platform architecture. During this time, you might see temporary shifts in performance or feature delivery speed. We are working closely with Atlassian’s Forge platform to ensure a stable foundation and improve your product experience.

While we would like to transition all features to Forge, the platform does not currently provide full feature parity with Connect. The table below shows the current status of features that may not be available, or that cannot be migrated in the same way, as part of the transition to Forge.

We are working closely with Atlassian to review feature coverage and migration options. We will update this list as soon as we have more information.

Looking ahead

Our priority is to ensure a stable and reliable experience throughout the entire migration, while gradually introducing improvements made possible by the Forge platform. We will keep this page updated as the transition progresses and provide relevant information whenever changes become visible or action is required.

We are committed to keeping you informed throughout the process and ensuring a smooth migration experience. If you have any questions or experience any hiccups, our team is always happy to help.
